You can always start small, walk a mile, in your own shoes of course, from your home or office and observe your surroundings. What do you notice this time that you never did before? There's always something to learn, that's why at Step On, we want you to come along, not just for the ride but to experience something new, get intrigued, peak your interest and then you can take it from there.

Our tours are specialized and personalized because your tour guide takes the time to go for a long walk. The theatrical commentary that is still factual is just a bonus to all the sites, landmarks and people you'll get to see. But you don't have to wait on us, get out there! Go exploring!

Oh, the Sites to Behold!

This is only one of the great monuments you will see on the Quilts, Quakers and Questors tour. This picture was taken just two days ago on our tour through Southwest Michigan.
The paths of freedom were the tracks of the Underground Railroad and many led to Michigan, in particular Battle Creek, Schoolcraft, and Cassopolis as African American slaves sought the best route to Canada.
This Michigan tour visits historic sites of undeniable interest to all who would show solidarity with the brave resistance in our state. The Step On Tour Guide knows about the Underground Railroad and will inform you in a fun and delightful manner of the conductors and travelers along the route.
The tour includes historic sites such as the gravesite of Ms. Sojourner Truth, Kimball House where Ms. Truth lived and hid slaves, sites of the Kentucky Raid, Quaker Historic Homes and so much more.
These trips always offer great photo opportunities (as you can see) so be sure to bring your camera. Each tour includes a roundtrip motorcoach, goodie bags, an end-of-tour test with prizes and lunch and high-spirited commentary.

Art in the Strangest Places!

It's all in how you look at it! That saying means a lot when you try to consider what is art versus what is not. There's art all over and all around. Art is more than a painting or sculpture. It's more than a painting from a paintbrush but instead, its the actual burst of color that makes your mind react.
We took a walk through Ferndale, MI and discovered art in some of the strangest places, from the graffiti art, cinematic art and so much more!
What art have you seen that you overlooked because it was in a strange place?

Take the next few days to recognize art. The structures and architecture, the curve of stone worn from the wind. Art can be found all around us, all we have to do is look. It's all in your you look at it!
